In the high mountains, heavy snowfall and wind will cause unstable storm slabs. The snow pack is wet in lower areas due to high temperatures and rain. The wet snow is in general stable, but loose snow avalanches may be triggered in some exposed slopes. Large glide avlanches can occur in isolated areas. (NVE)
