Report avalanche accidents

We want to collect as much information as possible about accidents, close calls, and other incidents related to snow avalanches. The information gathered will be used to learn more about the accidents and avoid avalanche accidents in the future.

Just an image of the avalanche and damage extent would be very useful information for us. Other relevant information could be about the avalanche itself, the cause, course of action, and reflections on how you could have avoided the avalanche? How much information you want to submit is up to you. We would appreciate it if you provided as much information about the conditions, which could also be relevant for the avalanche forecasts.

There are two methods available to report an accident:

Via Regobs

You have to use a NVE account to register through regobs.no. Create a new observation and fill out as many fields as possible.

Via anonymous form

In our anonymous web form it is possible to submit information without creating a NVE account. Fill out as many fields as you like.
