You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

Det finnes litt innblåst tørr snø i leformasjoner. På utsatte plasser er det avblåst ned til skare. I bratt terreng i sørlig sektor er overflaten smelteomvandlet og vil variere i hardhet gjennom døgnet.

Onsdag meldes det om lokalt mye vann i snøen i lavereliggende områder i Vinje.

Little to no precipitation. Calm/light breeze from northeast. -11 °C to 3 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Thursday 25. April 2024

2-6 mm precipitation. Rain up to 800 m a.s.l during the afternoon. Breeze from southeast. -4 °C to 2 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Generelt stabile forhold. Snødekket er hardt og igjenfrosset. Det er utglidningsfare på hard og glatt skare i bratt terreng.

Det kommer litt nysnø som kan være mulig å løse ut skred i, men eventuelle skred i forbindelse med dette vil være små.

Det kan finnes eldre fokksnøflak i leformasjoner høyt til fjells som noen få steder kan løses ut av skiløpere.
