Avalanches may release spontaneously on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

Monday 6. May 2024

Mildvær og lett regn har påvirket snødekke helt til topps forrige uke. Siden fredag har temperaturen sunket og snødekke har gradvis fryst på igjen. I helgen har det kommet ca 10-15 cm nysnø i regionen.

Det er stedvis lite snø under 200 moh.

Vedvarende svakt lag dypere i snødekket anses ikke som skredproblem for tiden.

1-4 mm precipitation. Precipitation as snow. Breeze from north. -9 °C to -4 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Tuesday 7. May 2024

No precipitation. Fresh breeze from southeast. -11 °C to -4 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Clear skies.

Avalanche risk assessment

Det er generelt stabile forhold i fjellet. Kalde dagstemperaturer og natteforst har stabilisert snødekke. Når solen titter frem kan det gå små løssnøskred i svært bratt terreng.

Nysnø fra de siste dagene ventes å ha bundet seg godt til det gamle snødekket.

Hold god avstand til skavler.
