Published:
Unstable conditions due to wind slabs in lee areas. Persistent weak layers may also be triggered where the snow cover is thin.

Snow cover (in Norwegian)

Monday 1. March 2021

Mountain weather

Monday 1. March 2021

20 mm precipitation, up to 35 mm in the most exposed areas. Gale from west, changing to strong breeze from the northwest during the afternoon. -7 °C to -3 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Tuesday 2. March 2021

5 mm precipitation, up to 10 mm in the most exposed areas. Strong breeze from northwest, changing to breeze from the northwest during the afternoon. -11 °C to -5 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Advice

The bulletin is a planning tool and may differ from the actual situation. Always make your own evaluation. To be 100 % avalanche safe, avoid all avalanche terrain.

Avalanche risk assessment
