Avalanches may release spontaneously on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

Monday 29. May 2023

De siste dagene er det kommet noe nysnø høyt til fjells. Eldre snø er smelteomvandlet, grovkornet og fuktig eller våt. Varmt vær og regn har tært på snødekket. Det er generelt bart under 800 moh, men snøgrensen kan variere.

Kjøligere vær kan føre til at snøoverflaten fryser til skare mange steder. I høyden kan det ligge nysnø.

Onsdag ble det observert noen str. 1 løssnøskred i nysnøen fra tirsdag.

10 mm precipitation, up to 20 mm in the most exposed areas. Rain up to 1400 m a.s.l during the afternoon. Strong breeze from southwest, changing to breeze from the west during the evening. -5 °C to 3 °C at 1400 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Tuesday 30. May 2023

1 mm precipitation, up to 6 mm in the most exposed areas. Precipitation as rain. Breeze from west, changing to strong breeze from the west during the afternoon. -2 °C to 10 °C at 1400 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Tirsdag blir det oppholdsvær og mildt. Der solen titter frem kan våte løssnøskred kan løsne av seg selv i noen få heng. Mest utsatt er heng høyt til fjells der det har kommet snø siste dagene. De fleste skred blir trolig små, men ved skavlbrudd eller glideskred kan enkelte skred bli middels store.
