Avalanche problems

New snow (slab avalanches)

You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

Wet snow (loose snow avalanches)

Avalanches may release spontaneously on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

Snøoverflaten har vært gjennomfuktet helt opp til fjelltopphøyde. De siste dagene har det kommet litt nysnø i fjellet.

Snødekket er for det meste smelteomvandlet, men det finnes trolig fortsatt lagdelt snø på de høyeste fjelltoppene på fastlandet.

Det er lite snø igjen under 350-500 moh.

15 mm precipitation, up to 20 mm in the most exposed areas. Precipitation as rain. Fresh breeze from southwest. -1 °C to 4 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Wednesday 31. May 2023

12 mm precipitation, up to 28 mm in the most exposed areas. Rain up to 900 m a.s.l Wednesday night. Fresh breeze from southwest, changing to moderate gale from the west during renoon. -4 °C to 3 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Hvis værprognosen slår til, så vil regn kunne føre til våte løssnøskred under mildværsgrensen. I høyden vil det kunne legge seg opp små nysnøflak.
