Be careful in leeward slopes, wind deposited snow are covering persistent weak layer. Beware of danger signs like shooting cracks and whumpf-sounds.

Persistent weak layer (slab avalanches)

You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2). Remote triggering is possible.

Advice

The bulletin is a planning tool and may differ from the actual situation. Always make your own evaluation. To be 100 % avalanche safe, avoid all avalanche terrain.

Snow cover (in Norwegian)

Rolig vær og ingen nedbør av betydning på torsdag. I starten av uken kom det 10-20 cm nysnø, mest ved kysten.
Det er ubundet snø i overflaten. Det gamle snødekke består av smelteformer.

Det har utvikle seg et lag av kantkorn høyt i snødekke. De siste dagen har det også dannet seg rim på snøoverflaten.
