The snowpack is mostly stable in lower elevations, but if the sun peaks out it can trigger avalanches in the fresh snow in the alpine.

Avalanches may release spontaneously on a few steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

I fjellet har det kommet noe snø de siste dagene. Eldre snø er smelteomvandlet og grovkornet etter at varmt vær og regn har tæret på det gamle snødekket. Det er generelt bart under 700 moh, men snøgrensen kan variere.

Eldre svake lag er i hovedsak smeltet vekk, men det kan være rester av islag i snøen.
