The snow has been subject to repetitive melting and freezing cycles and is mostly stable. However, be aware of instability on cornices and areas with glide cracks in the snow.

You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

2-4 mm precipitation. Rain up to 1400 m a.s.l during the evening. Strong breeze from northwest, changing to fresh breeze from the northwest during the afternoon. 0 °C to 6 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Saturday 27. May 2023

4 mm precipitation, up to 10 mm in the most exposed areas. Precipitation as rain. Breeze from west, changing to strong breeze from the west during the afternoon. -1 °C to 9 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Det er meldt noe nedbør, men snødekket ventes å tåle dette uten at skredfaren øker nevneverdig, Forholdene er generelt stabile med et vårlig snødekke som drenerer godt. I enkelte bratte heng med svært våt snø er det likevel mulig for skiløpere å løse ut løssnøskred.

Skavler bør betraktes som ustabile. Det samme gjelder oppsprukken snø på glatte, bratte sva.
