You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

Thursday 11. April 2024

Gradvis synkende temperaturer gjør at det fuktige snødekket stabiliserer seg. Onsdag var det regn opp til ca. 800 moh.

Det finnes kantkornlag dypere i snødekket og ved bakken, men disse ligger under harde skarelag og regnes ikke som et skredproblem nå.

Onsdag og tirsdag ble flere naturlig utløste skred observert.

9 mm precipitation, up to 14 mm in the most exposed areas. Rain up to 400 m a.s.l Thursday night. Moderate gale from northwest, changing to fresh breeze from the northwest during the evening. -4 °C to 0 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Friday 12. April 2024

Little to no precipitation. Breeze from northeast, changing to fresh breeze from the southeast during the evening. -5 °C to -2 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Enkelte snøbyger, men ellers rolig vær vil gjøre at snødekket gradvis stabiliserer seg. Om det finnes fersk fokksnø etter torsdagens snøvær, så kan det enkelte plasser i leheng være mulig å løse ut skred i dette.
