Det er lite snø i region. Lengst ut på kysten er det bart og lenger inn i regionen er det eit tynt snødekke der stein og busker stikk opp. Den snøen som finst består av hard smelteomdanna snø, som har begynt å bli omvandla til kantkorn. Snøoverflata er dekka av rim.
