Avalanches may release spontaneously on some steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

Det er generelt lite snø i regionen, men vind har gjort at det det har samla seg snø i renner og forsenkingar.

På fjella kring Hunnedalen er det så godt som snøfritt.

15 mm precipitation, up to 25 mm in the most exposed areas. Rain up to 1000 m a.s.l during renoon. Fresh breeze from southwest, changing to strong breeze from the west during the afternoon. -6 °C to 1 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Tuesday 4. January 2022

20 mm precipitation, up to 30 mm in the most exposed areas. Rain up to 400 m a.s.l during renoon. Moderate gale from southwest, changing to fresh breeze from the southwest during renoon. -6 °C to -3 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Snøgrensa synker og ein får nysnø nedover i terrenget. Men bortsett frå i dei aller høgaste områda vil snøen stort sett legge seg på barmark og skredstorleik vil vere avhengig av snøen som kjem tysdag. I dei høgaste områda kan det ligge ferske fokksnøflak som vart danna av vind og nysnø måndag.
