Avalanche warning for region Heiane Thursday 11.03.2021

Danger level 4 - High avalanche danger

An increase in wind will lead to a large amount of wind transported snow. Avoid all avalanche terrain. Naturally triggered avalanches likely.

Snøoverflata per generelt preg av mykje vind og med fokksnø i typiske leområder. Det eldre snødekket er jamt over smelteomvandla til fjelltopphøgde. Det er lite snø i låglandet og generelt for årstida.

Det er observert byrjande kantkorn i nederste del av snødekket, men desse er låst av hard skare og vanskeleg å påverke.

6 mm precipitation, up to 20 mm in the most exposed areas. Fresh breeze from southeast, changing to gale from the southeast during renoon. -9 °C to -3 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Thursday 11. March 2021

35 mm precipitation, up to 60 mm in the most exposed areas. Gale from southeast, changing to strong breeze from the west during the evening. -5 °C to -1 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Aukande skredfare. Kraftig vind og stadvis store mengder nedbør vil gje omfattande snøtransport i høgda. Mest utsett er vest- og nordlege heng. Skred kan gå naturleg og ein lyt forvente store skred.
