Difficult conditions. There is a persistent weak layer buried in the snow pack, especially around the tree line. Be careful in areas with wind deposited snow.

You can easily trigger avalanches on some steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury a car or destroy a small house (size 3).

Det er mykje snø i fjellområda i regionen. Snøen er normalt fordelt med mest i nordaustlege, austlege og søraustlege leområder.
Det er store skavlar og vindformasjonar i terrenget.
Det eldre snødekket er smelteomvandla etter mildvêr og gjenfrysing. Snødekket er no prega av den kraftige vinden laurdag.

Avalanche risk assessment

Nysnø og vind vil fornye skredproblemet med ferske fokksnøflak i leområder. Det kalde snødekket med mykje kantkorn gjer at fokksnømengdene truleg treng ekstra tid til stabilisering, og det kan fort utvikle seg nye svake lag i fokksnøen. Der det er sigesprekker er det forhold for glideskred.
