The snowpack is mostly stable but increasing danger of wet avalanches in the afternoon because of warm temperatures and sun. Remember to keep a safe distance to cornices, and aviod runout zones in the afternoon.

Avalanches may release spontaneously on a few steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

Det er fortsatt en god del snø i fjellet, men lite snø under 200 moh mange steder.
De siste dagene har det vært mildt og perioder med litt regn høyt til fjells.

Snødekket består sannsynligvis av våt smelteomvandlet snø helt til topps.

Avalanche risk assessment

Varme og sol vil føre til mye snøsmelting og stedvis svært vått snødekke utover dagen. Enkelte våte løssnøskred kan løsne naturlig, mest utsatt er solvendte brattheng. Det er lite snø i terrenget de fleste steder, men middels store skred kan forekomme.
Husk at også små skred kan være farlige i kombinasjon med terrengfeller, spesielt når snøen er såpass tung.

Sannsynligheten for sørpeskred og glideskred øker når det er varmt, men det er ikke mulig å forutsi når dette skjer. Unngå langvarig opphold under sigesprekker og i bekkeløp, og hold god avstand til skavler.
