Consequence
Vulnerable infrastructure can be affected by large accumulations of snow. Travel time may increase on many journeys. Driving conditions can be hazardous. The power supply may be impacted. Blowing snow at higher altitudes causes reduced visibility and possibly convoys and/or closed roads.
Advice
Vulnerable installations and objects should be protected. Consider whether the journey is necessary. Allow a lot of extra time for transportation and driving. Use tires fit for winter conditions and use caution while driving. Follow advice and check status from transport operators. Check road reports (175.no). The need for emergency preparedness shall be assessed continuously by emergency response actors.
Description
From Thursday evening to Friday evening 25-40 cm snow is expected. Largest amounts are expected first part of the day, in the afternoon decreasing amounts.
