Danger level 3 - Considerable avalanche danger

Large amounts of rain will weaken the snowpack considerably. Keep good distance to avalanche terrain and run out zones for wet avalanches.

Lavlandet bærer preg av mildvær den siste tiden, og det er lite snø under 700 moh.
I høyfjellet over ca. 1200 moh. består snøoverflaten av fokksnø med varierende hardhet. I vindutsatt terreng er det avblåst til bakken eller skare.

Det gamle snødekket antas stabilt etter flere runder med mildvær.

70 mm precipitation, up to 100 mm in the most exposed areas. Precipitation as rain. Strong breeze from southwest, changing to gale from the northwest during the afternoon. -7 °C to 3 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Natt til lørdag og utover formiddagen vil svært mye nedbør, høy temperatur og vind gi økende skredfare. Det ventes perioder med regn til fjelltopphøyde.
Regn i den nye snøen vil gi omfattende svekkelse og gi fare for mange våte, naturlig utløste skred i lavere områder.
I høyden vil både pålagring av ny snø og regn i snøen gi fare for store naturlig utløste skred.
Mest utsatt er områder som har fått mye ny snø de siste dagene. Enkelte skredbaner som ligger spesielt utsatt til kan også gi svært store skred.

Mest utsatt er høyereliggende fjellområder som har fått mye ny snø de siste dagene, som Stølsheimen, Vossafjellet, Raundalen og Ulvik.
