Det finnes litt innblåst tørr snø i leformasjoner. På utsatte plasser er det avblåst ned til skare. Mildvær har tidligere påvirket hele snødekket opp til 1100-1200 moh, og det har til tider vært varmegrader helt til topps med fuktig og vått i øvre del av snødekket.

Det har vært observert lag av kantkorn både over og under skarelag i flere deler av regionen, men det anses ikke som et aktivt problem. De er stort sett fuktet og avrunda, samt overliggende lag er hardt.
