Rising daytime-temperatures increase the danger of avalanches in the wet new snow. Keep a safe distance to cornices and glide cracks.

You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

Snødekket er i all hovedsak smelteomdannet i de fleste høyder og himmelretninger. Søndag kom det litt nysnø i høyden. Snøgrensen kryper stadig oppover og det er mange steder bart i fjellet. Glidesprekker er utbredt.

Rundt de høyeste toppene og i enkelte nordvendte fjellsider kan det fortsatt være lagdelt snø med harde skarelag fra tidligere i vinter.

Avalanche risk assessment

Der nysnøen fra helga er våt, vil det være lett å løse ut små våte skred, men utbredelsen av nysnø er begrenset.

Det gamle snødekket vurderes som stabilt, men der der snøen glir på glatt underlag kan det fortsatt løsne glideskred i kjente skredløp. Unngå ferdsel under glidesprekker og skavler.
