The snowpack is generally stable, but it could be possible to trigger small avalanches in steep terrain where the snow is wet. Be careful around cornices and avoid glide cracks.

You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

Det har smeltet mye snø i det siste og sommeren er i ferd med å ta over i fjellet. Det er fortsatt skiføre i høyden.

I hovedsak består snødekket av grovkornet, smelteomdannet snø som drenerer smeltevann godt. Snøoverflaten er bærende, men fortsatt våt og stedvis råtten over 1300 moh i bratte solvendte fjellsider.

Avalanche risk assessment

Snødekket er generelt stabilt, men det kan være lett å løse ut små skred i svært bratte heng om snøen er veldig våt. Husk at selv små skred kan få deg ut av balanse og ha store konsekvenser om du er på feil sted, slik som i nærheten av terrengfeller.

Faren for skavelbrudd og glideskred øker når temperaturer igjen stiger. Hold avstand til skavler og glidesprekker.
