Wind drifted snow (slab avalanches)

You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

New snow (loose snow avalanches)

Avalanches may release spontaneously on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

Snødekket er generelt smelteomvandlet med noe nysnø på toppen.
I ytre strøk er det nå tynt snødekke høyt opp, mens det er godt med snø i høyden lengre inn i regionen.

5-9 mm precipitation. Rain up to 600 m a.s.l Saturday night. Fresh breeze from south, changing to moderate gale from the northwest during renoon. -6 °C to -1 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Sunday 30. April 2023

2-6 mm precipitation. Rain up to 400 m a.s.l during the afternoon. Strong breeze from northwest, changing to fresh breeze from the northwest during the evening. -5 °C to -2 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Vind fra nordvest vil fortsatt kunne flytte snø inn i leområder og lage ferske ustabile fokksnøflak. Her kan det være lett å løse ut skred enkelte steder.

Fokksnøflakene ventes å stabiliseres ganske fort. Skredfaren er størst tidlig på dagen, og avtar gradvis når vinden avtar.

Der sola titter fram kan det gå enkelte naturlig utløste skred i solsidene.
