You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

Friday 1. April 2022

Perioder med mildvær og regn opp til ca. 1200-1300 moh har gitt smelteomvandlet snøoverflate. Det gamle snødekket er hard skare etter nattefrost og mykner utover dagen der sola får tak. Det finnes gamle fokksnøflak i østlige lesider over mildværsgrensen, men det er lenge siden siste snøfall. Det er godt med snø i regionen, særlig i øst- og nordvendte leområder. Snøgrensa ligger på ca. 400 moh.

Det finnes kantkorn i forbindelse med skarelag høyt i snødekket, senest observert 20. mars. Laget ligger under skarelag og er svært vanskelig å påvirke.

Avalanche risk assessment

Høyt til fjells kan det finnes noen mindre fokksnøflak som kan påvirkes og gi små skred. Men stort sett er det hardt og stabilt snødekke.
Solinnstråling i bratte heng kan gi noen mindre løssnøskred, spesielt i bratte sider som har bart fjell rundt seg.
