Avalanche warning for region Heiane Sunday 01.12.2019

Generally safe avalanche conditions and thin snow cover. There is a persistent weak layer at the ground that can be triggered if there are overlying wind slabs. Keep in mind that even small avalanches can have consequences if you fall into rockery terrain.

You can easily trigger avalanches on some steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1) Remote triggering is possible.

I løpet av de siste dagene har det kommet litt nysnø over 700 m, men det er svært begrenset skiføre. Det er mest snø øst i regionen. Snøoverflaten består av fokksnø i leformasjoner, mens det eldre snødekket har godt utviklede kantkorn mot bakken og flere overliggende skarelag.

Kantkorn ved bakken kan muligens påvirkes hvis det ligger fokksnøflak over.

På Målestasjonen Ljosland (500moh) er det lørdag 10 cm snø.

Skredproblemet er begrenset til de leformasjonene der det finnes innblåst snø fra tidligere i uka. Fokksnøen kan påvirkes ved liten tilleggsbelastning. Kantkorn ved bakken kan også påvirkes, men da med større tillegsbelastning. Vær oppmerksom på at oppstikkende stein kan gjøre selv harmløse skred farlige.
