You can easily trigger avalanches on some steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

I helga førte vind frå SØ til danning av fokksnøflak i leområder over skoggrensa. Mandag kom det oppimot 10 cm snø som la seg oppå dette og det var lett snøfokk i høgda tirsdag.

Det er tidlegare observert begynnande kantkorn i snødekket, men desse utgjer ikkje noko skredproblem.

Onsdag føremiddag gjekk det eit lite flakskred i Valldalen og på tirsdag gjekk det eit naturleg utløyst snøskred nær skoggrensa på Sulafjellet som kryssa ei skiløype. Samme dag blei det observert nokre små naturleg utløyste tørre laussnøskred på Standalseidet.
