The snowline has risen considerably throughout the weekend and there is very little snow below treeline. Some new snow and wind is forecasted in the alpine and may form smaller wind slabs on isolated features.

You can trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

Snødekket er generelt tynt i regionen, og noe ujevnt fordelt. Kun forsenkninger og søkk har snømengder av betydning.

Mildværet i helgen har tæret godt på snømengdene i lavlandet og det er svært lite snø igjen.

Det er så langt ikke svake lag i snødekket som skiller seg ut.

Søndag er det observert noe snøfokk langs fjelltoppene.

Avalanche risk assessment

Skredfaren er knyttet til de få områder der det faktisk ligger snø nok, men synkende temperaturer gjør at også disse vil stabiliserer seg. I høyfjellet kan det være isolerte lommer med ustabil fokksnø.

Husk at tidlig på sesongen kan selv små skred få store konsekvenser pga mye oppstikkende steiner.
