You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

Snødekket har vært gjennomfuktet til topps og det er generelt god drenering i snødekket. I fjellet har det smeltet frem rabber og fjellknauser, og stort sett må en over 600 -700 moh. for å finne sammenhengende snødekke. Skiføret er stort sett best i nord- og nordvestvendte sider.

Det antas nå at varme dager i mai har tatt knekken på de fleste vedvarende svake lag av kantkorn. I høyden finnes tynne islag nede i snøen som kan samle vann ved mye regn eller kraftig snøsmelting.

10 mm precipitation, up to 20 mm in the most exposed areas. Moderate gale from southwest, changing to strong breeze from the west during the evening. -2 °C to 8 °C at 1400 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Wednesday 30. May 2018

2-6 mm precipitation. Strong breeze from northwest, changing to breeze from the northwest during the afternoon. -6 °C to 1 °C at 1400 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Noe nedbør som regn vurderes til ikke å påvirke snøskredfaren. Snødekket har vært fuktet tidligere og vil drenere vann relativt godt. Temperatursvingning gjennom døgnet vil være med på å styre når faren er størst for våte skred.
