Avalanche warning for region Heiane Tuesday 26.03.2019

Be careful in areas with fresh wind deposited snow. Rain and rise of temperature can produce small wet avalanches in the afternoon.

Snøoverflata er preget av nysnø og noe vind de siste dagene.
Under nysnøen er snødekket påvirka av høye temperaturer torsdag og fredag med plussgrader og regn til fjelltopphøyde. Det er fortsatt lagdelt snø i høyfjellet. Snøgrensa ligger på ca 400 moh.


Søndag kom det 15-20 cm nysnø over 500 moh. Natt til mandag har det vær kaldt og klart med utstråling. Blåsjø (1100moh) har ikke målt vind av betydning etter snøfallet.

Little to no precipitation. Fresh breeze from northwest. -7 °C to -1 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Tuesday 26. March 2019

10 mm precipitation, up to 15 mm in the most exposed areas. Strong breeze from northwest, changing to fresh breeze from the west during the afternoon. -6 °C to 1 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Nedbør og temperaturstigning utover dagen gir flere skredproblemer. Når nysnøen blir våt for første gang utover dagen blir den ustabil under mildværsgrensa og naturlig utløse flak- og løssnøskred er mulig der det kom nysnø søndag. Høyere til fjells vil pålagring i heng mot Ø gjøre skiløperutløste skred mulig i heng der det legger seg ustabile flak av nysnø og fokksnø.
