Be careful on steep slopes with soft and wet snow, a skier can trigger avalanches here. Keep distance to cornices and areas with glide-cracks

You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

Det har vært høye temperaturer i fjellet siste uken og snødekket er for det meste smelteomvandlet og stabilt.
Snødekkets hardhet varierer med temperatur, fuktighet og vind.
Snøgrensen er på 500 - 600 moh, og høyest vest i regionen.

Avalanche risk assessment

Kraftig vind i fjellet vil bidra til å ta ut fuktighet av snødekket, men fortsatt høy temperatur, litt nedbør som regn og perioder med sol vil øke faren for våte skred utover dagen. Vær varsom i bratte heng om snøen er våt og myk.

Glideskred kan forekomme på bratte og glatte fjellsider. Hold avstand om det er glidesprekker.

Vær også oppmerksom på faren for skavlbrudd fra rygger, egger og topper.
