Consequence
Vulnerable infrastructure can be affected due to accumulation of snow. Travel time may increase on some journeys. Local driving conditions may become difficult. Blowing snow at higher altitudes causes reduced visibility and possibly convoys and/or closed roads.
Advice
Vulnerable installations and objects should be protected. Allow some extra time for transportation and driving. Use tires fit for winter conditions and use caution while driving. The need for emergency preparedness shall be assessed continuously by emergency response actors.
Description
Periods with snow and snowshowers is still expected in low lying areas. The snow limit is expected to be lowest at night and early mornings, while daytime the snow limit will be appromximately 200-300 m. The highest snow accumulations are expected in Møre and Romsdal, and locally in the mountains 20-30 cm of snow can come during 24 hours from Friday evening to Saturday evening.
