Consequence
Vulnerable infrastructure can be affected due to accumulation of snow. Travel time may increase on some journeys. Local driving conditions may become difficult. Blowing snow at higher altitudes causes reduced visibility and possibly convoys and/or closed roads.
Advice
Vulnerable installations and objects should be protected. Allow some extra time for transportation and driving. Use tires fit for winter conditions and use caution while driving. The need for emergency preparedness shall be assessed continuously by emergency response actors.
Description
From Friday evening precipitation as snow is expected above approxmately 300-600 m. The snow limit is expected to be highest Saturday evening, and lowest at night and early mornings. 20-30 cm of snow is possible during 24 hours in the mountains.
