Consequence
Vulnerable infrastructure can be affected due to accumulation of snow. Travel time may increase on some journeys. Local driving conditions may become difficult. Blowing snow causes reduced visibility and possibly convoys and/or closed roads.
Advice
Vulnerable installations and objects should be protected. Allow some extra time for transportation and driving. Use tires fit for winter conditions and use caution while driving. The need for emergency preparedness shall be assessed continuously by emergency response actors.
Description
Today, Saturday, heavy snow showers are expected. Locally 10-25 cm/24t of snow is expected, locally there may be more snow. Saturday evening the shower activity decreases in the north, Sunday morning also in southern part.
