You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

Det er lite snø igjen i regionen og man må stort sett over 1300 moh for å finne sammenhengende skiføre. Mest snø lengst vest i regionen.
Snødekket består nå i hovedsak av isoterm smelteomvandlet snø og er stabilt.

Natt til onsdag 29.05 ble det målt -10 grader på 1804 moh ved Gaustatoppen.

3 mm precipitation, up to 8 mm in the most exposed areas. Fresh breeze from southwest. -2 °C to 6 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Noe nedbør i form av snø og vind fra vest vil føre til dannelse av nysnøflak i østvendte leområder. Nysnøen vil legge seg over et gammelt snødekke som er hardt og glatt og små skred vil være lett å løse ut. Det gamle snødekket tåler både regn og varme godt. Det er smelteomvandlet og har ingen ugunstig lagdeling.
