Avalanche warning for region Trollheimen Tuesday 31.12.2019

Danger level 3 - Considerable avalanche danger

Be careful in lee areas with wind deposited snow, typically behind ridges, ribs and in gullies. Especially where the wind deposited slabs are thin or soft, a slab avalanche is easier to trigger there.

You can easily trigger avalanches on many steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury a car or destroy a small house (size 3).

Persistent weak layer (slab avalanches)

You can trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

Det har vore mykje nedbør og sterk vind siste dagane som har gjeve stor pålagring i austlege og sør austlege leområder. Siste døgnet har nedbøren under 900 moh kome som regn på snødekket.

Kantkornlag er observert i snødekket.

Det er måndag observert fleire våte laussnøskred i Sunndalen.

20 mm precipitation, up to 25 mm in the most exposed areas. Moderate gale from west. -8 °C to -3 °C at 1400 m a.s.l. Cloudy.
