Tysdag har det kome noko nysnø heilt ned til havnivå. Det forventast at denne vert våt og smelteomvandla av regnvêret onsdag. Det underliggande snødekket er gjennomfukta opp til omlag 500 moh. I dei aller høgaste fjellområda kan ein finne fokksnøansamlingar. Det lite snø igjen under 300 moh.

18 mm precipitation, up to 30 mm in the most exposed areas. Breeze from west, changing to fresh breeze from the southeast during the evening. -7 °C to 1 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Thursday 2. January 2020

25 mm precipitation, up to 40 mm in the most exposed areas. Fresh breeze from south, changing to moderate gale from the southwest during the afternoon. -2 °C to 4 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Temperaturauke og nedbør i form av regn i låglandet vil føre til at det kan gå naturleg utløyste skred der det ligg snø frå før. Mest utsatt er det høgdenivået som fekk snø onsdag for så å få regn på snødekket torsdag. På dei aller høgaste toppane vil det kunne danne seg store fokksnøflak i leområder, men stort sett er det forventa at det regnar til topps. Skredfaren er høgast i indre delar av regionen der det er høgast fjell og det kjem mest snø.
