Avalanche Problems
• Dry slab avalanche • Buried weak layer of faceted snow above a crust • Within half a meter • Difficult to trigger • 2 - Medium • Some steep slopes N, NE, E, SE, S above 500 masl
Avalanche Danger Assessment
• We have apersistent weak layer covered by windslab (45 cm). The ECT gave the result that the layer is hard to trigger (ECTP 24 @ 46). The distribution is in leeward areas and increases near ridges. • For the next 48 hours we expect less precepitation (max 0,9 mm), moderate to light wind in the mountains. The avalanche developement should remain stable to light increase in few exposed areas (near ridges) • 2 Moderate • Forecast correct
