Avalanches may release spontaneously on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

Saturday 4. May 2024

Mildvær og lett regn har påvirket snødekke helt til topps tidligere i uken. Siden fredag har temperaturen sunket og snødekke har begynt å fryse på igjen i høyden.

Det er stedvis lite snø under 200 moh.

Vedvarende svakt lag dypere i snødekket anses ikke som skredproblem for tiden.

4-8 mm precipitation. Rain up to 500 m a.s.l Saturday night. Fresh breeze from northwest. -8 °C to -1 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Sunday 5. May 2024

2-4 mm precipitation. Precipitation as snow. Breeze from northwest. -9 °C to -5 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Synkende temperaturer og nattefrost gjør at snødekket i høyden vil fryse til og stabiliseres. Det kan være lett å løse ut små skred i bratt terreng der snøen fortsatt er våt. Når solen titter frem kan enkelte små skred gå naturlig.

Hold god avstand til skavler.
