You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

Snøen i overflaten er påvirket av sol og varme helt til topps. Nysnøen som kom i høyden forrige uke er nå delvis smelteomvandlet. Om natten har overflaten fryst til på grunn av nattefrost. Under ca 200 moh er det lite snø igjen.

Det gamle snødekket er generelt smelteomvandlet og forventes å være uten kritisk lagdeling.

Natt til fredag var det 1 minusgrader på Øksfjord målestasjon, 560 moh.

Little to no precipitation. Breeze from north, changing to breeze from the southwest during the afternoon. -6 °C to -1 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Generelt stabile forhold på grunn av kjøligere temperaturer og nattefrost i høyden. Eventuell nedbør ventes ikke å endre snøskredfaren i særlig grad, men vær obs hvis solen får varmet opp snøoverflaten i bratte, solvendte sider. Da kan det være mulig å løse ut små, våte løssnøskred.
