It’s mainly stable snow, but it is possible to trigger small avlanches in steep terrain where the snow is very wet. Keep a safe distance to cornices and glide cracks.

You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

Nedbør siden torsdag ettermiddag har kommet som snø i høyden. Nysnøen har lagt seg oppå smelteomvandlet snødekke etter mildvær, sol og regn forrige uke.
Det er stedvis lite snø under 200 moh, spesielt i sørvendt terreng.

5-9 mm precipitation. Rain up to 700 m a.s.l during the afternoon. Fresh breeze from southwest. -2 °C to 5 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

7-9 mm precipitation. Precipitation as rain. Breeze from southwest. -1 °C to 4 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Litt regn natt til søndag og milde dagtemperaturer ventes å gi ustabil våt snø i høyden. Små skred kan lett løses ut eller føre til naturlig utløste våte skred der nysnøen fra fredagen blir fuktet for første gang. I lavereliggende områder er snødekket blitt vant med mildvær og regn og faren anses som lavere her.

Hold god avstand til skavler og unngå områder med glidesprekker.
