You can easily trigger avalanches on some steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

Det ligg faste, seige fokksnøflak i leområder etter snøværet sist helg. Det ligg litt laus snø tilgjengeleg for vind i skjerma formasjonar i høgda. Den eldre snøen er i hovudsak varmepåvirka og stabilisert.

Kantkornlag er tilstades i snødekket, men det er ikkje eit aktivt skredproblem.

Avalanche risk assessment

Vind og varme stabiliserer fokksnøen og skredfaretendensen er synkande. Enkelte fokksnøflak i høgda kan bli påvirka av skiløpar. Delvis klarvær gir nedkjøling og gjenfrysing av snødekket på natta og tidlig på dagen. Aukande varme og sol utpå dagen kan svekke snødekket og gi våte skred i svært bratt terreng. Ved sigesprekker er det forhold for glideskred.
