Avalanches may release spontaneously on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

I helgen og på mandag kom det snø ned til havnivå som dannet fokksnøflak. Dette har lagt seg på et snødekke som stort sett er smelteomvandlet og gjennomfuktet. Noen steder er dette bærende skare, andre steder er det råtten snø. Lagdelt snø finnes fra omtrent 2-300 moh. Mange plasser begynner det å bli lite snø, særlig i sørvendt terreng.
Snøbroer over elver og snø rundt fremstikkende stein kan være ustabile.

1-3 mm precipitation. Precipitation as snow. Fresh breeze from northwest, changing to breeze from the northwest during the afternoon. -7 °C to -2 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Wednesday 22. May 2024

Little to no precipitation. Breeze from southeast. -10 °C to 3 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Solskinn og litt stigende temperaturer vil påvirke snøen som kom i starten av uka. Våte løssnøskred er ventet. Unngå ferdsel under skavler.
I høyden vil fokksnøen gradvis stabilisere seg.
