Avalanche warning for region Finnmarkskysten Monday 05.12.2022

Where the new snow falls on old, weak snow avalanches will be easy to trigger. These are expected to be small due to limited amounts of precipitation. Avalanches are not expected where the fresh snow falls on bare ground.

Persistent weak layer (slab avalanches)

You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1) Remote triggering is possible.

Det er lite snø i regionen. Lengst ut på kysten er det stort sett bart. Lengre inn i landet er snødekket tynt og usammenhengende opp til 400-500moh. Der det finnes snø består snødekket av kantkorn og skare.

5-9 mm precipitation. Rain up to 300 m a.s.l during the afternoon. Strong breeze from south, changing to strong breeze from the west during the afternoon. -13 °C to -4 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Det kommer endelig et påfyll med snø i regionen. Denne vil mange steder legge seg direkte på bar bakke, og her ventes ingen skredproblem. Høyere opp i terrenget i indre strøk der det låg snø fra før av vil det kunne være lett å løse ut små skred.
