Varmen den siste tiden har smeltet frem rygger og rabber, og snødekket består nå av smelteformer. I leheng mot øst ligger det flere meter snø. Snøgrensa ligger på 600 moh, høyere i bratte sørvendte heng. For å finne lagdelt snø må man godt over skoggrensen.
