Rapid forming wind slabs are expected. Large naturally released avalanches are possible. Use great caution in the alpine. Decreasing snow line.

Avalanche problems

Wind drifted snow (slab avalanches)

on some steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury a car or destroy a small house (size 3).

Lavlandet bære preg av mildvær. I høyfjellet over ca. 1200 moh. består snøoverflaten av fokksnø med varierende hardhet, i vindutsatt terreng er det avblåst til bakken eller skare. Det gamle snødekket antas stabilt etter flere runde med mildvær.

Et lite skiløperutløst skred i Myrkdalen mandag.

18 mm precipitation, up to 35 mm in the most exposed areas. Rain up to 900 m a.s.l during renoon. Strong breeze from southwest, changing to fresh breeze from the west during the afternoon. -4 °C to 1 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Cloudy.
