The recently formed wind slabs will be harder to trigger once the wind settles. A persistent weak layer can still be triggered by high additionals loads.

Snow cover (in Norwegian)

Torsdag meldes det at det fortsatt er noe løssnø igjen, tross kraftig vind onsdag kveld. Onsdag kveld var det kraftig vind og det kom en god del snø. Det var stor snøtransport og nok så ufyselig vær. I helgen kom det 10-20 cm nysnø med kuling fra vest i høyden. Mest i sørvestlige deler av regionen. I nord- og østvendte leområder ligger det betydelige mengder fokksnø.

Dypere ned i snødekket ligger det et kantkornlag. Dette laget finnes stort sett fra ca 400 moh og opp i alle himmelretninger.

Onsdag kveld gikk det skred i Gangdalen. Detajlene rundt skredet er fortsatt uavklart.

Under 400 moh er det observert dannelse av kantkorn under overflateskaren, men skaren etter mildværet forrige uke er 5-10 cm tykk og bærer godt.
