Be careful on steep slopes with soft and wet snow, a skier can trigger avalanches here. Pay extra attention to sun exposed slopes. Keep distance to cornices and areas with glide-cracks.

Wet snow (loose snow avalanches)

You can easily trigger avalanches on some steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

Advice

The bulletin is a planning tool and may differ from the actual situation. Always make your own evaluation. To be 100 % avalanche safe, avoid all avalanche terrain.

Snow cover (in Norwegian)

Regionen har et vårlig snødekke og snødekket består av smelteomvandla snø. Snøgrensa ligger på ca. 200 moh., men varierer med himmelretning og avstand til havet.

Det kan være rester av vedvarende svake lag i snødekket på de høyeste fjelltoppene, men de fleste steder er disse nå smelteomvandla.

Den siste uken har det løsnet mange våte løssnøskred og noen flakskred i regionen og snøoverflaten er flere steder preget av dette.
