Avoid lee areas with wind deposited snow in the alpine, typically behind ridges, ribs and in gullies. Naturally triggered wet avalanches are expected below 300masl steep terrain. An old persistent weak is still lingering deep in the snowpack in the alpine.

You can easily trigger avalanches on some steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury a car or destroy a small house (size 3).

Wet snow (slab avalanches)

You can easily trigger avalanches on some steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

Vinden har tatt godt og over skoggrensen ligger det stort sett bærende og hard fokksnø. På vindutsatte steder er det avblåst til skare, men denne ukens snøfall har jevnet ut mye av snøen i terrenget. I skogen er det varierende mengder løs snø. Lavtrykket som kommer inn mandag vil endre på snødekket.

Eldre kantkornlag har tidligere vist seg intakt over ca 600 moh, men tester viser at de er vanskelige å påvirke.
