Large avalanches are likely. Rain will weaken and overload persistent weak layers well into the alpine. Dry slab avalanches are likely above the snow line as well.

Wet snow (slab avalanches)

on many steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury a car or destroy a small house (size 3).

Wind drifted snow (slab avalanches)

on some steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury a large truck or destroy several houses (size 4).

Fra tidlig denne uka har vinden stått på i regionen og flyttet snø inn i nordøst- og østvendte heng. Før vinden begynte å ta var det mye løssnø vest i regionen. Observatør melder om 30-45 cm nysnø de siste dagene. Natt til søndag ventes mildvær å ha fuktet snøoverflaten til ca 300 moh.

Lørdag ble det fjernutløst skred rundt skoggrensen. Dette har trolig gått på kantkorn i nedre del av snøpakken. Søndag var det flere store naturlig utløste skred i Tamokdalen.

Fredag er det observert flere drønn i snøen i regionen.

12 mm precipitation, up to 18 mm in the most exposed areas. Rain up to 800 m a.s.l during the evening. Moderate gale from south, changing to moderate gale from the southwest during the afternoon. -11 °C to -1 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Cloudy.
