Snøoverflaten er preget av nysnø og vind de siste dagene. Stedvis finnes det store fokksnøflak mens vindutsatte plasser er avblåst med skare eller barmark. Det gamle snødekket under ca. 1300 moh antas å være stabilt etter "Gyda" og påfølgende gjenfrysing.

Vedvarende svake lag kan fortsatt være intakte over ca 1300 moh, men stort sett i regionen antas det at Gyda har nøytralisert vedvarende svake lag.
