Be careful on steep slopes with soft and wet snow, a skier can trigger avalanches here. Keep distance to cornices and areas with glide-cracks.

You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

Etter flere dager med mildvær til fjelltopphøyde og fravær av nattefrost består snøoverflaten stort sett av våt eller fuktig smelteomvandlet snø.
Over tregrensa er det fortsatt mye snø for årstiden. Noe tørr, lagdelt snø kan finnes i nordvendt terreng over ca. 1500 moh.

4-6 mm precipitation. Rain up to 1400 m a.s.l Thursday night. Breeze from southwest. -4 °C to 2 °C at 1400 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Friday 27. May 2022

4 mm precipitation, up to 10 mm in the most exposed areas. Rain up to 1100 m a.s.l during the afternoon. Calm/light breeze from west, changing to fresh breeze from the northwest during the afternoon. -8 °C to 1 °C at 1400 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

I bratt terreng med myk, våt snø er det mulig å løse ut små løssnøskred.
På de høyeste toppene kan det komme litt nysnø, men pga. høye temperaturer bør eventuell ustabil fokksnø stabiliseres fort.
Glideskred kan løsne der det ligger snø på bratte sva.
Glideskred er uforutsigbare og kan løsne av seg selv hele døgnet.
Unngå opphold under glidesprekker og hold god avstand til skavler.
